Confidence Calls

Lock in confidence
before you commit

You have your diagnosis. Before you spend thousands acting on it, have someone who has installed this work for thirty years confirm your plan will hold.

Live, one to one, on Google Meet.

What you are actually investing in

Not consulting time. Not a second report. A decision you can stop second-guessing.

Your report told you what the problem is. What it cannot do is look at your particular room, your particular budget, and the plan you have in your head, and tell you whether the whole thing holds together.

That is what a Confidence Call is for. You bring your result and your intended approach, we pressure-test both, and you leave with a clear verdict, proceed, adjust, or stop.

Most people do not need more information. They need someone qualified to tell them the plan is sound, or to catch the one thing that would have undone it. Sound is like water, it finds every crack, and the crack you have not thought of is usually the expensive one.

After the call, what changes

You know your money is going to the right place first. You know the one mistake that would have cost you most, and you know how to avoid it. And if it does not work out perfectly, you know it was not because you guessed.

Two calls, matched to your diagnostic

Each call is built around the report you already hold. Book the one that matches it.

For Noise Clarity Report holders

Noise Clarity
Confidence Call

$250 · 30 minutes
One room. One dominant pathway. One confident first move.

Your Noise Clarity Report identified the pathway most likely driving your noise. This call confirms it against your actual space, and settles what to do first.

Right for you if you are dealing with a single room and a single main problem, you have a plan in mind, and you want it checked before you spend.

For Full Diagnostic Confidence Code holders

Full Diagnostic
Confidence Call

$325 · 60 minutes
Multiple pathways. Multiple surfaces. The whole sequence, validated.

Your Full Diagnostic mapped every likely pathway, ranked your weak points and set a treatment sequence. This call walks that plan end to end, and tells you where it will hold and where it will not.

Right for you if more than one pathway is in play, the work spans several surfaces or rooms, or you are briefing a trade and need to stay in control of the scope.

Noise Clarity Confidence Call

30 minutes, $250. Exactly how the time is spent.

This call has a hard stop at thirty minutes, and a fixed structure. That is deliberate. A structured conversation arrives at a clear conclusion every time, where an open-ended one often does not.

The format
0–3 minFrameWhat this call will and will not do. We confirm the one decision you need to walk away with.
3–9 minDiagnosis checkWe restate your problem in a single sentence and test it against your photos. Does the pathway your report identified match what is actually in front of us?
9–15 minStrategy checkIs the approach you are considering the right class of solution for that pathway? This is where most money is saved, absorption and isolation are not interchangeable, and treating the wrong one is the most common expensive mistake.
15–21 minBudget and expectation realityWhat level of improvement your budget realistically buys. We will be straight with you about this, including when the honest answer is that your target is not reachable at your spend.
21–27 minExecution riskWhere this is most likely to come unstuck in practice, and anything that would be difficult or costly to undo once started.
27–30 minThe verdictProceed, adjust, or stop. Where an adjustment is warranted we keep it focused on what matters most, so you leave with a clear direction rather than a list.

You will need the Noise Clarity Report before this call. The call confirms and extends that diagnosis, it does not replace it.

Full Diagnostic Confidence Call

60 minutes, $325. Exactly how the time is spent.

A full diagnostic produces a ranked list of weak points and a treatment sequence across every pathway in play. Sixty minutes is what it takes to walk that properly, confirm the order of works, and make sure nothing in your constraints quietly breaks it.

The format
0–5 minFrame and confirmWhat we are settling today, and what you need to be able to act on afterwards.
5–15 minPathway confirmationYour dominant pathway and every secondary one, tested against your photos and your construction detail. Where the diagnostic and the room disagree, we resolve it here.
15–27 minWeak point reviewWe work through your ranked weak points one by one, confirm or re-rank them, and identify which single element is currently governing your result.
27–40 minSequence validationYour treatment sequence, stage by stage. Sealing before mass. Source side before receiver side. Absorption last. We confirm the order holds for your specific build, and adjust it where it does not.
40–50 minBudget, constraints and stagingWhat fits the budget now, what is worth deferring, and what your tenure, access and permanence constraints rule out entirely. If the work needs to be staged, we set the stages.
50–57 minExecution risk and managing your tradeWhat to brief, what to refuse to be sold, and how to verify the work was done as specified. This is the part that keeps you in control once other people are involved.
57–60 minThe verdictProceed, adjust, or stop, with the reasoning stated plainly.

You will need the Full Diagnostic Confidence Code before this call. The call validates the plan it produced.

How it works

Four steps. Nothing complicated.

1
Book your slot

Choose a time on the calendar. You will receive a Google Meet link and a short preparation form immediately.

2
Complete your preparation form, at least 24 hours before

We already hold your diagnostic, so there is nothing to resend. The form asks for photos of the space and a few lines on what you are planning to do. If you completed the Full Diagnostic you have already supplied photos, so this is simply your opportunity to add any that show the areas you want to discuss.

3
The call

Live on Google Meet, one to one, to the structure set out above. Hard stop at the scheduled time.

4
Act on it

You finish the call knowing whether your plan holds, what to address first, and what to steer clear of. From there you can brief a tradesperson, or start the work yourself, confident the direction is sound.

If your form does not reach us in time

We will offer to move your booking rather than run the call cold. A call where the first fifteen minutes go on background is not the call you booked, and we would rather reschedule than deliver that.

What this is, and what it is not

Being clear about this now protects the value of your call.

What you get

  • A confirmed diagnosis, checked against your actual space
  • A validated order of works
  • An honest read on what your budget will and will not achieve
  • The mistakes most likely to undo your result
  • A clear verdict, and enough certainty to brief a tradesperson or begin the work yourself

What this is not

  • Not a certified acoustic engineering report, and not a compliance or building approval document
  • Not a site inspection or a physical measurement
  • Not a redesign of your room
  • Not a product shopping list, we do not sell panels, which is exactly why we can tell you not to buy them
  • Not open-ended, each call has a defined scope and a hard stop
On numbers, and why we say this out loud

If anyone tells you a treatment delivers a "50% reduction", ask what they mean. A 3 decibel reduction is roughly a 50% reduction in acoustic energy, but it is close to the smallest change most people can actually hear. A 10 decibel reduction is roughly a 90% reduction in acoustic energy, and it is the figure commonly described as sounding about half as loud, though what you personally notice still depends on frequency, source and room. We will always give you the realistic figure and explain what it will actually feel like, because you are owed that before you spend.

Not sure which call you need?

The diagnostic you already hold answers it.

If you hold the Noise Clarity Report but your situation has turned out to involve more than one pathway, the right next step is the Full Diagnostic Confidence Code, not a longer call. It maps every pathway in play and sequences the work across them, and your Noise Clarity Report fee credits toward it in full.

Before you book

The honest answers.

Why do I need this if I already paid for a diagnostic?

You do not, in many cases. If your result came back clean, your pathway is obvious and your plan is modest, act on the report and keep your money. Book a call when the spend is significant, when more than one thing is going on, or when being wrong would be expensive to undo.

Can I just book a call without a diagnostic?

No. Without a diagnostic we would spend the call gathering information rather than testing a decision, and you would pay a premium rate for something the report does better and cheaper. Start with the report.

Will you tell me exactly what products to buy?

We will tell you what class of solution your problem requires, what performance to insist on and what to refuse. We will not hand you a shopping list, because we do not sell the products and we are not taking a margin on your purchase. That independence is the point.

What if you tell me my plan is wrong?

Then the call has already paid for itself. Finding out for a few hundred dollars is considerably better than finding out for several thousand after the work is done.

Can I record it?

Yes. Many people do, and it means you can give the conversation your full attention rather than splitting it with note-taking.

What if it turns out this is not the right call for my situation?

If it becomes clear in the first five minutes that we cannot help you, we will say so, end the call, and refund you in full. We would rather return the fee than take it for something that will not serve you.

Stop second-guessing the plan

The work is expensive. The decision does not have to be a guess.
